To add posts in wordpress, simply login your wordpress. At extreme left, go to your WordPress admin area and under ‘Posts’ you will find your tab “Add a new post”. Write a title and give content to your post.

Selecting Category in wordpress post
Categories help visitors by telling quickly about what a post is related to. They used to make a group of the posts or to give a decent structure. One can add new categories to the posts by using the Categories module to the right of the post editor.
You can move a post from one category to the other by clicking edit in the post menu, hover over the post you wish to edit and click Quick Edit.
Adding Tags in wordpress post:
Tags are like categories, but they describe the post in more detail and they are more specific. One can add new tags to posts by using the Post Tags module to the bottom right of the post editor. WordPress gives the option to assign multiple tags to a single post too, by separating all with a comma.
Edit URL/ Add a title of your choice:
WordPress gives the option to change your permalinks by edit your titles.
