Before you were sending emails just fine but suddenly your emails are bouncing back. From Mail Delivery Subsystem And the response was. “TLS Negotiation failed, the certificate doesn’t match the host.”
This is really annoying situation and you don’t know what to do. Please first of all send your important Email by using some other email address if possible. Message your mail delivery system bounced back can include something.
Message not delivered
You’re sending this from a different address or alias using the ‘Send mail as’ feature. The settings for your ‘Send mail as’ account are misconfigured or out of date. Check those settings and try resending.

So what is the reason behind this message and what can be the possible solution?
Well this problem is mostly cause, your SSL certificate have expired. Or the SSL certificate your mail system use is not matching to your domain.
You should know hosting companies renew your SSL certificate when they expire. And during these phases which are always happening on backends such problems can come up.
Contact your hosting company and they would help you solve the problem. We also keep you secure and help you avoid such issues with our WordPress maintenance service.
Can i do something to find the problem?
1.) Please check if you have SLL certificate installed for your mail server.
You can check this here: https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html#hostname=mail.webfulcreations.com
2.) The chances are you either do not have it or your certificate expired.
Go ahead and generate a new certificate and or renew your current one. You can also ask your hosting provider how to do this. After this change run the test again and you should get all green checks and your email will work again.
Note: It’s important you know the Mail HostName of your server so make sure you are using SSL compatible mail host.
Find Email Configurations from cPanel
You can also check if you are using correct email configurations. Just sign in to your hosting control panel. Go to Email accounts and in front of any email click on configurations or Setup Email Client. Look for manual settings.
The manual configurations looks like below so if you are using secure TLS/SSL mail hostname then make sure the settings are correct.
Secure SSL/TLS Settings(Recommended)
AND
Non-SSL Settings(NOT Recommended)
Notes:
- IMAP email access coordinates between the server and your mail application. Messages that have been read/deleted/replied to will show up as such, both on the server and in the mail application.
- POP3 does not coordinate with the server. Messages marked as read/deleted/replied to in the mail application will not show up as such on the server. This means that future mail downloads with POP3 will show all messages as unread.
- Outgoing mail is sent using SMTP.
- We recommend using POP3 over SSL/TLS or IMAP over SSL/TLS since they provide increased security for your interactions with the remote mail server.
