Steps to fix the “Aw Snap” error
It’s very frustrating to deal with the “Aw Snap” error while working online. To get rid of this error let’s dive into the steps to fix this error.
1) Reload the Web page:
The first step is to make sure that your system is connected to the internet and either press CTRL + F5 key or click on the refresh icon on the left top of the web page.
2) Close Multiple Chrome Tabs:
Multiple tabs working at the same time might get restrict internet connection and lower the internet speed. So close the open browser tabs and reload the web page that you are trying to fix.
3) Use Incognito Mode:
If you are facing an “aw snap” error in Chrome then try to open that web page in incognito mode. To open incognito mode, click on the side three dots and hit on the new Incognito Window or press CTRL + SHIFT + N. This is the private web browsing web page that disables Chrome to save any site data and entire browser history.
4) Check Your Internet Connection
If you are facing an “aw snap” error, it might be because of a poor internet connection. If your system is not connected to the proper internet then Chrome might get in trouble loading the web page. Just turn off your internet and leave the device on airplane mode just for a few seconds and then connect the internet again and reload the web page.
5) Disable VPN

6) Clear Cache and Cookies:
Corrupted cookies and caches will result in an “aw snap” error in Chrome. So first of all clear the browsing cache and then reload the web page.
For clearing the browsing cache just click on the 3 dots on the menu bar >> then hit on More Tools and then hit on Clear Browsing Data. Then select all the options and hit on the Clear Data button. Once you have cleared the browsing cache, try again to access the same web page.
7) Disconnect Extensions

9) Run Chrome Safety Check:
After updating, if you still face errors then try another method which is to check chrome safety. Hit on 3 dots >> Go to Settings >> and check chrome safety
This will help you to fix the “aw snap” error. Hit on the Check now button to complete the safety check.
10) Remove Malware
Last but not the least, if you still couldn’t fix the error then try to find malware and remove it. Malware is scary for your system, some of the threatening signs of malware are
- Strange advertisements and pop-up windows
- Unauthorized changes to the browser
- Slow loading speeds
- Reappearing extensions or toolbars
- Redirects to unfamiliar pages
- Anti-virus software alerts
In order to remove malware, just go to Settings >> Advanced >> Reset & Clean up >> Clean up Computer.
After that click on Find so that Google chrome can scan malware and once Chrome finds unwanted software, hit on the Remove button.
