Email special characters problem

Hi there, I need your help to fix a problem with the email that are sent to the accounts, the problem is when a spanish special character is sent just shows symbols: this happend with an ñ, ó, etc. here is an example: https://www.screencast.com/t/07BXUZLMTQc

Please let me know what should I do in order to fix it,

Hi, thank you for your response and sorry for the late response but I didnt recieve authorization to provide access as the installation already has sensitive client information, can you tell me what should I look for or whats should I change?

Open file lib >> includes >> functions.php 

and in function send_email find the following line in line # 205

"Content-Type:text/html; charset=\"iso-8859-1\"\n" .

And change it to 

"Content-Type:text/html; charset=\"UTF-8\"\n" .

Then try i hope this would solve the problem.
