On the accounts page when i view a job the print button doesn't work ...... also can there be a 8.5x11 paper size

Hey what is the Accounts page do you mean jobs list page? that page is default WordPress page, we have not included its print, please use reports to filter the jobs to print. 

And yes you can set your browser settings to anything to use the required printer.

on the client my account page all jobs are listed ..... when you click the view link an invoice is displayed with a print button .... thats the button i was talking about .... is there another way to print this document?

hey this is not a released feature yet, we are still working on it we will take it out in next update untill its completely functional, there are compatibility issues with other themes and plugins so we are making it some other way now. Thanks.
